Hi, :) Here is a list of magazines that Avril Lavigne has featured in so far in 2008.
The NEWS section wont let me post so I didnt know where else to post, if you dont want this thread then please just delete it.
THE BORING PART SKIP DOWN TO THE NEXT POST.
The list is created by me from searching through each magazine in various stores accross London, England. It takes around 10 to 14 hours to get to London, search each store, flip each magazine and a lot of money to travel, eat, drink and of course BUY the issues that I do get. It then takes HOURS and HOURs more to type the lists out and re-check the magazines that I got that was SEALED and thus couldn't be checked BEFORE buying them.
This list is 100% accurate to the magazines that I check each week. (except for the info listed below).
But it does NOT contain EVERY MAGAZINE that is sold in London, or every magazine that is sold in the WORLD!! if they don't come to London I cant check them
I DO NOT CHECK Mens Magazines, or EVERY Womans Magazine, Mens Mags are gross, and Womens magazines don't always feature a lot that is worth checking, the cover celeb is mainly what they print on and the only ther celebs inside are usually for fashion reviews or something similar, at least 70% of womens and fashion magazines like Cosmopolitan are sealed, as they come with free gifts, most of them are the same repeated crap too. I also don't check Car magazines, PC magazines or Sports ones, they are all less likely to have Singers and actresses/actors in them.
So I stick to the Gossip Magazines, Teen Magazines, Music and Movie Magazines and a few others that do feature various celebrities from time to time.
The only a few other points to make and they are :
1, IF the magazine wasn't found, then of course I couldn't check it, I do try other stores if the 1st, 2nd etc are sold out, but sometimes Issues do sell out in all stores or sometimes they just didn't get IN STOCK on the day I was shopping. I can't afford to go back multiple times to London.
And 2, If it lists them (A Celebrity) as "IN IT" below, then they was "IN IT" with a picture for some reason or other, no matter how small the picture or how big the article, if they was IN IT then it is listed. I used to write down NAME MENTIONS, but that takes too much time and most fans just wants pictures anyhow.
For the ones I have bought, someday I hope to get the scans uploaded and posted for everyone who is interested, but as my PC is crap and my connection is 56k PAY PER MINUTE, and with all the costs involved in doing this list and buying the magazines, I can't afford to upload everything too as my current internet bill for up to Janaury 2008 is approx $178.
I do plan on STOPPING buying magazines this year, maybe at the end of February 2008 and if I do I don't know if I will continue making lists as the shops do only allow me to stay in there so long searching as they know I do buy so many from them, and if I stop buying then of course I won't be able to spend hours being in there, and I wont want to either. :/
FINAL NOTES : Magazines from Europe, The USA and other countries usually take LONGER to get here than when they was released IN those countries, so when they are out in London they should have left the stores in those countries already. For Australia it can be up to 3 months AFTER they was published there, and for the USA, they could be from a few days to a month or more, depending on the TYPE of magazine AND the store that sells it. For example US Weekly it may be the first issue of the year, but it might not be in London until day 6 or day 14 or 20 depending ON THE STORE, Borders Usually gets things in FASTER, but then they COST MORE, and other stores might get theirs in a week or two LATER and they cost LESS, with People Weekly it is the same but the prices are REVERESED, For example AGAIN, Us Weekly in Borders is 3.25, 3.99 in VM and 2.50 in other stores, and PW is 3.25 in Borders and 4.50 in other stores. Basically "It pays to shop around". Thus why it takes so long to do the list, and if I don't buy an issue in the first store and the other stores don't have it, then I have to GO back to the store that DID!, For magazines like USA Cosmopolitan you can pay anywhere from 3.00 to 4.70 for the SAME ISSUE! So you are not just saving a few pennies, it really adds up. There are some stores and places that hold magazines for even longer, and you can find stores that have MULTIPLE DIFFERENT Issues of the same magazine on the stands.
Making this list is very hard to do, and it causes me a lot of pain, but I am bored and it passes a lot of time and whilst I ams till collecting magazines, I may as well do it. If I do stop collecting, I will make a final post and say that I wont be updating anymore and if for some reason I can't update during the week that I shop then I will try and back date assuming I havent already said I am stopping collecting lol.

You all know when she is on the cover, but you can't always know of hundreds of other issues she may be featured inside of! And not all cover magazines are the best! You just don't know!, so with this list I hope that for the people that DO COLLECT and do BUY magzines and DO scan, that they will now know of other issues that are out there and thus maybe try and buy them and scan them, after all I can't buy them all, and those that I have 90% I have never managed to get scanned as the whole process takes too long with my PC and 56k. :/ It takes around 10 hours to scan 1 magazine as I do it ALL as I post on LOADS of forums, and thats BEFORE editing and BEFORE uploading.
Anyways, I have written way too much as I am afraid if I don't explain as much as possible that I may get dissed and things. And this is hard enough to do without being dissed and as I cant post the scans and really THATS ALL PEOPLE WANT, but as said I simply cannot afford to buy everything, I don't buy everything that features Avril or even HD, and I can't scan everything on this crappy equipement.
In the meantime, I hope people will appreciate the list and knowing that there are quite a lot more magazines out there featuring Avril and many other celebrities that you maybe not have or didn't yet know about.
