She Wants Revenge - She Wants Revenge (2006)

I discovered this band last night and have listened to them for the past few hours over and over. She Wants Revenge is definitely a band with serious play back potential and their self-titled 2006 release is a great example of their sound.  Listening to She Wants Revenge reminds me of tons of bands.  The first it made me think of was Blaqk Audio without the vocal range of Davey Havok.  The instrumentation and electronic sampling has more of a downbeat feel however.  The vocals also remind me of The Killers and until someone mentioned it I hadn't thought of this, but Depeche Mode is also very similar to their sound.

The album doesn't have many songs that stand out in my mind.  All in all their songs pretty much sound the same, but this hasn't posed a problem for me considering they are all great.  She Wants Revenge is definitely an album that makes you want to dance rather than wanting to analyze the tracks musically.  Their 2006 release also features a track that was used in the movie 23 titled "Tear You Apart."

She Wants Revenge provides a sound that tailors to an extremely wide audience.  This truly is an album that anyone can get into and their catchy samples and instrumentation make it easy to enjoy on the first listen.  It has quickly moved up the ladder on my favorite albums of all time and although you won't want to research it lyrically or musically, you'll still find yourself listening to them over and over again.
