New York Governor David Paterson has granted a full and unconditional pardon to 80s-era rap legend Slick Rick for the attempted murders of two men in 1991. Gov. Paterson says he was compiled to pardon Rick, who is now a landlord in the Bronx, after learning that the “Children’s Story” rapper has remained on the “straight and narrow” since his release from prison in 1997. Slick Rick has volunteered to counsel youths against violence.
