Dean & Britta, Nada Surf Do Benefit for Bowery's Bango

Regulars at New York City's Bowery Ballroom will almost certainly recognize Frank Bango. For a decade, Bango has served the Bowery both as a musician and a bartender and bar manager. Tomorrow night, August 26, the Bowery will give back to Bango via a benefit show to help Bango with the medical bills he's shouldered after two years of cancer treatment.

The evening, titled "A Bone Marrowthon/Stem Cell-abration", will feature performances from Dean & Britta, Richard Buckner, Victoria Williams, Simone White, and Sam Champion, plus an acoustic set from Nada Surf.

Sincere Recording recently released Bango's latest album, The Sweet Songs of Decay.
