Denison University (2008/2009)
Deadline: Nov 23, 2008 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time

Denison University is a selective, four-year, private, residential liberal arts college located in Granville, Ohio, just 27 miles east of Columbus. A member of NACA, the university holds approximately two concerts per month from September through April and also books non-music acts such as comedy, novelty, lectures, etc. They are currently accepting submissions for the 2008/2009 school year.

There are four different on-campus venues where artists can play:
  • The Roost in Slayter Union (the University's student center with a capacity of up to 450 people)
  • The Bandersnatch (the campus coffeehouse with a capacity of 150)
  • Swasey Chapel (the campus chapel with a capacity of 800)
  • Mitchell Center (Denison's gymnasium where major concerts are held, with a 2,000 person capacity).

Submitting artists will be considered for spots at all possible campus venues, and the college will ultimately determine which location is the best fit. Backline, travel and lodging are generally included in the offer price. Denison University can provide sound, lights and basic hospitality for artists.

The majority of programming is done through the Student Activities Council, a campus organization of 30 student leaders responsible for booking a variety of programs for the campus community.
