Welcome to the Jungle

Spring has sprung — right into the Summer. The daily commute is no longer welcomed by a transition seasonal breeze, but rather by the lingering haze that sticks to the skin. The ambiance of the city is set by a heat no shade can quench and humidity thick enough to hold in one’s hand. The inner-Amazon need not travel overseas to experience the jungle, as this metropolis transforms itself into an urban jungle for the next three months. To welcome the sudden, but inevitable change, a Jungle list.

Like the title notes, this is a relatively introductory foray into the Drum n’ Bass genre, thus the first track is “Incredible”. The song was a massive hit in the UK and brought Jungle back to the mainstream. A few of the artists are well-known in the electronic world, as are the tracks. Though some of the playlist is more genre-based jungle, there is also a touch of reggae, and a hint of Brazilian to set the hot and heavy jungle mood. For what it’s worth — enjoi.
