BIJELO DUGME - Sta bi dao da si na mom mjestu (1975)

I love this album. Where to play with Blackmore and Jimmy Page for Bregovic becomes a reason to become very personal and... in a few moments to get to create a style close to that of Scorpions more symphonics ('Sta Bi Dao Da Si Na Mom Mjestu'). But if you think that 'Sta Bi Dao Da Si Na Mom Mjestu' is a Prog album... You are off the road. Certainly the title track or 'Dosao Sam Da Ti Kazem Da Odlazim' are Prog but from London (AIR Recording Studios and EMI Abbey Road Studios) return with a great Heavy Rock album. Ok, the second part of the title track is the start of Folk Metal but... I repeat...: This is not a Prog album. Is only one of the better 70's Rock albums. Moreover, the cheerful 'Hop-Cup' (Bebek is separated at born with R. J. Dio!) is a perfect fusion of R'n'R and Folk and 'bekrija Si Cijelo Selo Vice E Pa jesam, Sta Se Koga Tice' is a pure R'n'R. And, because Bijelo Dugme invent the Heavy Metal (with Priest, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Scorpions and others) 'Tako Ti Je Mala Moja Kad Ljubi Bosanac' is a pure Heavy Metal song. Extreme personal 'Dosao Sam Da Ti Kazem Da Odlazim', 'Ne Gledaj Me Tako I Ne Ljubi Me Vise' (another song with Bebek separated at born with R.J. Dio!) and 'Pozurite Konji Moji'. But all this is great also for the best production of Neil Harrison.

Extreme indicated for the fans of '70's Rock and for the Heavy loved side of Progsters 'Sta Bi Dao Da Si Na Mom Mjestu' represent a decisive forward step compared to 'Kad Bi' Bio Bijelo Dugme'. For writing, Production and security. But the final result is at the same level: excellent!
