PINK FLOYD - More (1969) [rated 2/5 by King By-Tor]

...fairly forgettable, but that's okay because the A side is about to close on a very high note GREEN IS THE COLOR is actually a fairly fantastic song, as is CYMBALINE. Both fairly odd for the Floyd being that they are fairly modest in structure and has a fairly basic layout. They're performed quite well, however, and that makes them very good...

...fairly limited as an artist as it is, and if I start telling myself I can only do one kind of song, then Im pretty much done for [laughs WW: What are those limitations? Because I dont hear limitations; I hear possibilities HC: Well, after three records and who knows how many thousands of shows, its still interesting to me that there are...

...fairly light-hearted and strong second side, on the other, we have some of the most funny-spot-wrenchingly-bad lyrical content I've seen since First Aid's Nostradamus (released around the same time, coincidentally). Additionally, Cygnus X-I Book 2 is not really a sequel per se, and certainly isn't consistently powerful and interesting like...

...fairly nice melody and vocals, but the lyrics are a little poor, and for no real reason, the end result doesn't make a real impression. The string and horn overdubs here are generally tolerable In The Beginning begins with a promising chaotic sound into a bass part into a song dragged down by the poor sound quality and slightly pretentious...

New York City Music Venues

...fairly low: theres a doorman but theyre not obnoxious. Make sure you dont accidentally pay admission to the adjacent tourist trap, whose entrance is only a few feet south. They dont book much good music here, mostly metal cover bands from the suburbs and the like: the club relegateslive musicto late weekday nights, so most bandswho play here...

TOOL - Undertow (1993) [rated 2/5 by King By-Tor]

...fairly good metal album, but that's not what we prog heads are after. Here is a collection of fairly straightforward metal tunes, all quite basic and unremarkable. There are a couple longer songs, but apparently they haven't figured out how to master it yet. In the end this is a fairly forgettable album that's at it's best while it's not in...

YES - Magnification (2001) [rated 3/5 by King By-Tor]

...fairly annoying song that was obviously the band searching for some kind of commercially acceptable song to release as a single. On this album, however, it sounds quite strange and out of context. One thing that's not so bad about it is the fact that it's quite short. CAN YOU IMAGINE, voiced by Squire, is an alright song, another short one....

...fairly common knowledge that this is not entirely the case. Started in 1967 as an idea by producer Sandy Pearlman, music had been written by drummer Albert Bouchard and had been previously used on the bands album, Secret Treaties. Intended to span the course of two or more Albert Bouchard solo albums their record label would only release the...
