...popish prog, since i like Supertramp very much and have bought some Supertramp cds and lps, i just think that this album is poor. However, the album DOES have it's good moments and, if the musicians tried to take some time and reanalyze, rewrite and make a better progression out of the songs, the album would surely come out much better than...

...popish but i wouldn't say that and if it is who cares!! Have you heard the begining of the song with extreme bluesy jazz keyboards solo. Amazing , and then gets a little bit more simple but still great Hide in your Shell aha! a nice great and full of prog in this song. Not catchy!! Right perfect it's not catchy what supertramp needed to...

...popish Am I going Insane asks the musical question Tell me people, am I going insane ? The Thrill Of It All is another popish albeit more extended track where singer Ozzy Osbourne has a chat with Jesus. Hole in the Sky also has religious conotations and is another full out heavy Sab track. Supertzar is perhaps one of one of the most unusual...

...popish in places. Anyway Marathon is another ex of good perseverence in Saga's catalogue with good tunes like:How Are You?, Breathing Lessons, Blind Side Of The Heart , the rest are also good, but not entirely a well rounded and very convinceing album. Marathon desearves a full 3 stars for sure, is another good album in Saga's career....

...popish On the contrary, the closing and long number Sombras de la Noche (shadows of the night) opens with a brilliant and ethnic part similar to Aymara from their first album). It is a great combination of native Mexican music and the symphonic style. It should have been a full instrumental IMO because as soon as the vocals get in, it is not...
